Winston received his B.A in Chemistry from Boston University where he worked under the guidance of Prof. John Caradonna on synthesizing ligand variants for a model non-heme mononuclear iron oxygenase catalyst. Since 2018 at UCD, Winston has been working on the total syntheses of tropane alkaloids as well as developing novel methodology related to extrusive N-alkylation.
